“Sport has changed my life because it’s given me something to work for and something to be a part of.”
We’re proud to share our new #UpMyStreet campaign, featuring the voices of young people from our network of community partners across the country. They’ve shared the incredible ways sport and physical activity have helped them: finding safer places to spend time, building stronger relationships, improving their mental and physical wellbeing and discovering new opportunities for education, training and employment. For some, the benefits have transformed their futures. Share Your Experience of Hospital Discharge
We're inviting patients and staff to take part in a new survey about hospital discharge from Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital. Whether you've recently been discharged from hospital or you've supported patients through the discharge process, we want to hear about your experiences. Your feedback will help us understand what's working well, identify examples of good practice, and highlight opportunities to improve discharge services for both patients and staff. Welcome to the LFRS Burnley King’s Trust Newsletter.

What is the Little Legends Olympics?
In collaboration with our trusted community partners and our group of young advisors, the Little Legends Olympics will show case a variety of sports in a festival theme. The key aim is to encourage participation and an opportunity to try multiple sports in one day. The focus is on fun and engaging activities for each sport, regardless of skill and ability. We will have access to several tennis courts at Burnley Tennis Club, and the sports hall, field and astro turf at Blessed Trinity College. Welcome to the Get Grants August 2026 Newsletter!
