Locally Organised Communities Across Lancashire 14

LOCAL Project born from the VCFSE Sector Manifesto for Lancashire 14

Hosted by: Lancashire Association of CVS

About Local Lancashire

LOCAL is a conversation process set up to develop a collective vision for the VCFSE sector in the wider area as well as specific districts. We need to be able to make the case for our communities, for our sector and for ideas that make a real difference. We need to be very clear about what is important to the 10,000 plus groups operating across the area. It is vital that we understand how we can collectively push for the kind of changes, ideas, and necessary investment to enable more effective service to our communities.

The Manifesto Priorities

Voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups and leaders from across Lancashire, including Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen, have come together to develop the VCFSE Sector Manifesto for Lancashire 14. The LOCAL project is working to identify the change that needs to happen around the nine Manifesto priorities. We want to know: Is this something that you would like to be involved in and help make a reality?
1. Equality and Social Justice for All: Tackling Poverty in Lancashire 14
2. VCFSE Sector as an Equal Partner
3. Economic Model That Works for Lancashire 14
4. Community wellbeing and person and community-centred Public Service Models
5. Green Communities
6. Pioneer a Lancashire 14 Social Prescribing Model
7. A Safer Lancashire 14
8. Helping People into Employment
9. Adequate VCFSE Resources to play our full part in the future of Lancashire 14
