The HSJ Awards Ceremony took place in September 2021 and The Integrated Pennine Lancashire Covid Virtual Ward, (which BPRCVS volunteer drivers were involved with oximeter delivery), won the Best Use of Integrated Care and Partnership Working in Patient Safety Award.

Giving The Gift Of A Lift
& Turning Miles Into Smiles

BPRCVS operates two community transport services; Communicars, and the BPRCVS Group Transport Minibus.

Both of our services rely on the goodwill of our excellent, dedicated volunteers who give up their own time to help transport local residents, and VCFSE groups and organisations around Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale and even beyond!

The Volunteer Driver Community Transport Service

Communicars uses volunteer drivers and their own cars to transport elderly, disabled and infirm passengers who cannot access local public transport.

Communicars is used for a wide variety of journeys and ensures local people can continue to live their lives.
Here’s some of the most common journeys we transport local residents:
Doctor & dental appointments
Lunch clubs
Attending local groups & activities
Shopping & trips into town
Visiting family and friends
Collecting pensions
And much more*

*We are unable to accommodate hospital appointments.

15 Seat capacity
Seatbelts on all seats
Tail lift access
Rubbish bin onboard
Evening & weekend availability*

*Upon request, evening and weekend bookings will be considered, but are entirely dependent upon the availability of our volunteer minibus drivers.
