Giving The Gift Of A Lift & Turning Miles Into Smiles
BPRCVS operates two community transport services; Communicars, and the BPRCVS Group Transport Minibus.
Both of our services rely on the goodwill of our excellent, dedicated volunteers who give up their own time to help transport local residents, and VCFSE groups and organisations around Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale and even beyond!
The Volunteer Driver Community Transport Service
Communicars uses volunteer drivers and their own cars to transport elderly, disabled and infirm passengers who cannot access local public transport.
Communicars is used for a wide variety of journeys and ensures local people can continue to live their lives. Here’s some of the most common journeys we transport local residents: Doctor & dental appointments Lunch clubs Attending local groups & activities Shopping & trips into town Visiting family and friends Collecting pensions And much more* *We are unable to accommodate hospital appointments.
Community groups, charities, and clubs can book our accessible minibus with a fully trained volunteer driver to attend events ranging from lunch clubs to day trips out or trips organised by another charity or VCFSE group or organisation.
15 Seat capacity Seatbelts on all seats Tail lift access Rubbish bin onboard Evening & weekend availability* *Upon request, evening and weekend bookings will be considered, but are entirely dependent upon the availability of our volunteer minibus drivers.
