A day of talks and workshops about Nature, Health and Wellbeing work delivered by professionals across Lancashire and the North West.
The conference will showcase projects using the NatureWell approach to Nature and Heath in different settings including men’s groups, families and young people. We will share evidence-based models of practice rooted in eco-psychology and nature connectedness working in partnership across communities and within NHS Trusts. Our theme will include reciprocity (between people and nature), recovery (personal and community), and regeneration (ecological and systemic) using an ‘Eco-Bio-Psycho-Social’ Model. East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust supports the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, which is a promise by the nation to ensure that those who serve or, who have served in the UK armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
Spring North and Child Action Northwest are pioneering a project designed to provide comprehensive support to families and parents who have children diagnosed with autism and those going through the assessment process. The project, operating across East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen, offers a wide range of vital services to address the specific needs of these families.
The project’s primary objective is to offer support to parents, carers, and families who are navigating the challenges associated with having a child diagnosed with autism. Recognising the significance of early intervention, the project will focus on two key areas of support: education on autism and strategies to support parents. Lancashire County Council is currently undertaking a piece of work to map community food provision across Lancashire, and we would be grateful for your support.
We are developing a campaign aimed at reducing stigma around mental health and accessing support.
To help shape this work, we would really value hearing your views. Community Skills Share Conference at The University of Lancashire
