Our final Fresk event of this years programme will be on 4th August, 11-3pm Building Bridges, Scotland Rd, Nelson as part of our new Climate Lab Pendle programme, which you would be very welcome to attend.

Climate Fresk is a collaborative creative card game that brings people together in conversation around Climate Change, exploring both the most recent science and also emotions and collective solutions to the problem we are together facing.

Please share with young people, families, schools, youth groups and community organisations so we can hear from as many young people as possible.

BFC in the Community are running some football sessions for the community at Sackville Street, Brierfield. This will be on the MUGA across the road from the mosque.
 
They are looking at getting children from 8-18 years. 
 
The aim is to provide children with activities from 5-7 pm and also break down barriers with the community.

They have been running the project for around a year and have seen some fantastic outcomes for local young people. They are now exploring funding opportunities to develop it into a community music hub, creating a professional recording studio and dedicated rehearsal space that could be accessed by young people, community groups, and local musicians.

As part of their funding applications, they need to demonstrate that there is a demand for this type of facility within our community. They would therefore like to gather feedback from local organisations, groups, and residents.

Would you be able to share the following consultation through your networks, asking anyone interested to respond directly to me?

They are keen to hear:

• Is there a need locally for a community music hub such as this?
• Would you or your organisation be interested in using or hiring the space for groups, projects, rehearsals, recordings, or individual musicians?
• Who are you, and why would a facility like this be beneficial to you or your organisation?
• What would you use the space for?

Any feedback, whether from organisations or individuals, will help them build a stronger evidence base for future funding applications and ensure the project is shaped around local need.
