​I'm writing about the Mediation Skills in Practice workshop with Smile Mediation, planned for this Wednesday 4th November, at the Talking Lounge Hub.  Sadly, not enough people have booked, so we've decided to postpone it.

​The latest People of Pendle meeting brought together organisations from across the voluntary, community and public sectors to share updates, discuss local challenges and strengthen partnerships that support residents across Pendle. The meeting was chaired by Leanne Stillings in place of Tracey Noon and provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to learn more about services available in the area and identify new ways of working together.

Residents are invited to attend a free Health & Wellbeing Event in Nelson, bringing together local organisations, health services, and community groups to provide information, advice, and practical support for staying healthy and connected throughout the winter months.
The event offers an opportunity to access free health checks, discover local services, and speak directly with organisations that can provide support for a wide range of health and wellbeing needs. Visitors will also be able to enjoy refreshments and take part in activities while learning more about the help available within their local community.

The SEND Local Offer is a vital resource for children and young people aged 0–25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and their families. It brings together information about education, health, social care, and community services in one accessible place.


Under the Children and Families Act 2014, professionals have a duty to help families access accurate and up-to-date SEND information. Familiarity with the Local Offer helps us meet this responsibility and ensure families know what support is available.


The Local Offer helps families understand what support is available, how to access it, and what to expect from services across the county.

As part of TaAF work to align with Active Environments and working with key services and organisations, we are looking at trying to activate Marsden Park, and we would like to understand what the community would like to see.​
