 The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has now launched the statutory consultation on the proposals to reorganise local government across Lancashire. The consultation runs from 5th February to 26th March 2026 and this is the final opportunity for people to share their views on the future of local government structures in Lancashire.

  The Lancashire Safeguarding Partners Participation & Voice Strategy workshop is taking place mid-February (Monday, 16th February 2026, 10 am to 2 pm at County Hall, Preston). The organisers are also keen to involve a small group of young people; hence, the date is during half-term.
