​As part of Talk Money Week, Resolve Poverty, alongside our partners from the More Than Advice programme, are hosting a webinar which will explore the role and potential of community-based debt advice and why it matters within the wider financial inclusion and policy landscape.

The webinar will introduce More Than Advice and how its community-based approach is being delivered across the programme, share early learning and reflections, and create space to consider the wider implications for policy and practice. 

Lancashire Adult Learning have places available on our Construction Health and Safety courses which, on successful completion, enables students to gain their CSCS Labouring card.  The course is based at The Waterside Centre, St James Court West, Accrington, BB5 1NA and is delivered approximately every three weeks or more often throughout the academic year.  

​Lancashire Adult Learning in partnership with Skills College UK will be delivering Level 2 Rail Maintenance training in Preston starting this October. 

The Preston course will be based at Cotton Court Business Centre, Preston. Course recruitment will start with an Information session on Tuesday 13th October 2026 with the course itself starting on Monday 26th October 2026. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to pursue a career within the rail maintenance industry. The training will be for a total of 8 weeks, full time Monday to Friday also based in Preston city centre. At the Information Session attendees will learn more about the training programme, linked career opportunities within the rail industry, and the steps involved in progressing onto the course.
