More Than Advice: Why community debt advice matters more than ever (Talk Money Week Webinar)

6/10/2026

As part of Talk Money Week, Resolve Poverty, alongside our partners from the More Than Advice programme, are hosting a webinar which will explore the role and potential of community-based debt advice and why it matters within the wider financial inclusion and policy landscape.

When: 5th November 2026, 10am-11:30am
Where: Online, Microsoft Teams

The webinar will introduce More Than Advice and how its community-based approach is being delivered across the programme, share early learning and reflections, and create space to consider the wider implications for policy and practice.

This session will provide an opportunity to:
  • Learn about More Than Advice and how its community-based approach is being delivered in practice.
  • Hear early reflections and emerging insights from across the partnership, including what the programme is beginning to tell us about community-based approaches to debt advice.
  • Consider the wider policy and financial inclusion context, and the questions More Than Advice raises for future policy, commissioning and practice.
The webinar is open to anyone with an interest in debt advice, financial inclusion, anti-poverty and related issues, including those working across national and local government, policy, advice services, health, regulation, funding, community and voluntary organisations, and research.
Tickets are available for this webinar here. We look forward to seeing you there!
