The Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal Is Back!

The Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal is back! 🎄

We’re launching this year’s appeal on Monday 19 October, and we’d love your business or organisation to get involved.

Last year, thanks to the incredible support of local businesses, schools and organisations, more than 1,100 children received gifts at Christmas. We’d love to do it all over again this year and help make Christmas special for even more local children and young people.
How could you get involved?
There are lots of ways you can support the appeal, but one of the simplest is to set up a Christmas gift collection point in your workplace and encourage your colleagues, customers or members to donate a new, unwrapped gift.

And we want you to have some fun with it!

Last year we saw some brilliant and creative ways of collecting gifts, from festive sacks and Christmas boxes to presents piled up under Christmas trees.

How will you do yours?
If you come up with a particularly creative collection idea, take a photo and send it our way. We’d love to share some of the amazing things businesses and organisations across Burnley are doing to support the appeal on our social media.

📸 Get involved in our nostalgic Christmas campaign
We’re also getting a little nostalgic this year and we'd love you to join us.

We’re asking people to dig out their favourite old Christmas photos and share a little bit of their own Christmas nostalgia. Think childhood Christmases, questionable hairstyles, matching pyjamas, favourite toys and those presents that seemed absolutely enormous when you were little! If you have images you are happy for us to share on socials, you can email them to [email protected]

The idea is simple: Christmas memories last a lifetime, and we want to help create those memories for children who might otherwise have very little to open on Christmas morning.

We’ve included a Christmas Appeal asset pack to make it easy for you to get involved. It includes:
  • A poster to display in your workplace, school or organisation
  • Social media graphics and suggested including a graphic where you can add your own nostalgic Christmas photo and share your favourite festive memory
  • Text for your internal newsletter to ask staff to get involved.

So whether you can collect a handful of gifts or get your whole organisation involved, every gift makes a difference.

🎁 Ready to join us?
The Christmas Gift Appeal launches on Monday 19 October.

Gifts should be new and unwrapped, for children and young people aged 0–18. We’re particularly keen to receive gifts suitable for teenagers, including gift cards.

Gifts need to be collected by Friday 4 December.

If you’d like to get involved, simply let us know and we'll be happy to help with any questions or support you need.

Thank you for helping us make Christmas a little more magical for local families.
