August is often seen as a quieter time for career opportunities, with holidays and the summer season slowing the pace across the arts and culture sector. But there are still plenty of ways to get involved! This month’s opportunities round-up brings together a selection of roles, commissions, open calls and development opportunities across Lancashire with deadlines this month and into September - offering creative practitioners plenty to explore, apply for and share.
Got a Lancashire-based opportunity in the arts to promote? If applications close within the next couple of months, send the details to [email protected] and we'll help spread the word.

This year’s programme explores the many ways dissent can be expressed through artistic practice. It might be loud or quiet, public or personal, but at its heart is a willingness to question the status quo and imagine how things could be different.

Lancaster Arts is seeking work that stands out through the strength of its ideas, the quality of its making, and its thoughtful response to the theme. Whether the work is political, playful, personal, or quietly provocative, artists are encouraged to apply.
