June was a very busy month at Carers Link Lancashire as we celebrated Carers Week and held our Silver Jubilee Garden party. Our Participation and Engagement Team held a series of exciting activities and daytrips for carers, including a trip to Liverpool Docks, Bolton Abbey, a relaxing sound bath, and an Afternoon Tea and Boat Ride at a secret location. Here are some photographs from throughout the week. Although it rained heavily throughout the day we didn't let that stop the fun and simply moved into our café and community hub space. Here's a video clip with some photos from the day, as we were joined by the local community to enjoy a delicious buffet, speeches, and entertainment. Volunteering At the beginning of June we celebrated Volunteers Week with a range of activities to promote our volunteering programme, and a party to thank our volunteers for all of their hard work, time and support they provide to our organisation. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Niamh held a series of drop in outreach sessions at venues across East Lancashire, including Haslingden Library, a Volunteer fair in Colne and our Accrington charity shop. We finished the week with a huge party which all volunteers were invited to. Attendees enjoyed a delicious buffet, and entertainment was provided by a magician who kept everyone amazed.
