Lancashire Mind have been partnering up with youth-community venues to establish CYP Early Intervention Hubs in six locations across Lancashire, funded through the Department of Health and Social Care. They have been launched in Burnley, Pendle, Preston, Fleetwood, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen.
Alongside the current hub locations we are looking to deliver in more venues in the Burnley area. Through the CYP Hubs, Lancashire Mind offer a range of wellbeing services from preventative services to more targeted services for individuals. Young people aged 11-25 will be able to access this face-to-face service, as well as access to a virtual wellbeing coaching offer. New: Guidance for LIOs and VCSE organisations on navigating local government financial difficulties7/11/2024 The government is consulting on a new Civil Society Covenant, resetting the relationship with the VCSE sector. Maddy, CEO at NAVCA, contributed to a roundtable and subsequent reception at No. 10 to launch the work.
Both the Secretary of State Lisa Nandy and Prime Minister Keir Starmer explicitly recognised the importance of close work with the VCSE sector, and the common goals and ambition it has with government. They spoke of respect for the VCSE sector, recognising its unique contribution to society. They were clear that the Covenant needs to be with all levels of government – local authorities, NHS, and each government department, something we have since reiterated to both No. 10 and DCMS. This is an important and unique opportunity to influence government and emphasise the importance of local infrastructure and local charities and community groups. Have your say on urgent care services across Lancashire and South Cumbria
The Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board have a short survey for members of the public to take part in to help make sure urgent care services are fit for the future. Arrangements have been made for the Annual Service of Remembrance to be held at the Peace Garden, Croft Street, Burnley on Sunday, 10th November 2024.
The service will start shortly before 11.00am. Members of the public attending are asked to be at the Peace Garden no later than 10.45am. The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Burnley, Councillor Shah Hussain, will remember those who lost their lives in war, along with representatives from the Council, the Royal British Legion, Ex-Servicemen’s Associations, the Armed Forces, Cadet Forces, other uniformed groups, public organisations, and any member of the public who wish to attend the service. |
