Specialist Dance classes in Rossendale for people living with neurological conditions

Neuromoves - a weekly specialist dance class for people living with neurological conditions (for example, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Dementia etc.) and their families. 


The Rossendale classes are held on a Monday at the Horse and Bamboo in Waterfoot - 2 pm till 3.15 PM, followed by coffee and biscuits. The class costs £3.50 per session. 


LMP's Neuro-Moves project is supported by Parkinsons UK and the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. Specialist Dance professionals provide enjoyable, gentle, creative, and health improving dance and movement sessions for people living with neurological conditions. 


Dance is widely acknowledged to support the associated symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease. It has been shown to improve balance, motor control and coordination. Research also shows that dance and music interventions can significantly support the mental
wellbeing of people living with neurological conditions.
