22/7/2025

Rossendale families are invited to enjoy a packed programme of fun, free and low-cost activities this summer, thanks to a wide range of events organised across the borough.
From exciting parties in the park to creative workshops, sports, crafts and outdoor adventures, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The programme, organised by Lancashire County Council’s Rossendale Family Hub, Rossendale Leisure Trust and local partners, offers opportunities for children and young people of all ages to stay active, make new friends and learn new skills during the school holidays.

Highlights include:
  • Party in the Parks: Family-friendly afternoons of face painting, games and activities at parks in Waterfoot, Whitworth, Rawtenstall, Bacup and Haslingden on various dates from 24th July to 21st August.
  • Themed Family Fun Days: Join in for exciting sessions like the ‘Jurassic Jungle Bash’, ‘Whatever Next’ Space Party, Puppet Party, Kidz Fest and more, taking place at Family Hubs and local libraries.
