We would like to thank all of our carers, volunteers, event facilitators/collaborators, and supporters, for helping us to make Carers Week another resounding success! During Carers Week, we hosted an activity for our carers every day, including Basic First Aid training, Afternoon Tea and singalong in our community garden, Make Your Own Tote Bag with Pendle Crafters and a day trip to Harwes Farm. We also launched our THINK Carer campaign for local businesses and organisations, including an information pack we have created to assist HR and Management departments to identify and support unpaid carers on their staff teams to ensure they are able to continue to work and look after their wellbeing and that of the person they care for. Get rewarded for visiting our Accrington cafe with BetterPoints! We have joined Lancashire County Council's BetterPoints scheme - a scheme where Lancashire residents are rewarded for walking, cycling, using public transport, and visiting local businesses with points that you can then use to redeem at local businesses, or for gift cards for high street retailers such as Argos, Costa, Amazon, IKEA, Deliveroo and Tesco!
