Pendleside Hospice is opening its doors for a special Community Day — giving everyone the chance to find out more about their local hospice.   Ahead of the school holidays, we have been in contact with Burnley FC in the Community to arrange for them to come down to Burnleywood Park to put on a football session for the kids.
For those of you who were there and remember, we did this last year and it was a huge success, with multiple requests to do it again! All are welcome, the more the merrier, so please pass this on to your friends, relatives, kids, schools, your auntie's sister-in-laws guinea pig, anyone who may be interested! Burnley Canal Festival returns on Sunday 24 August. The award-winning, free, family event will take place again at the beautifully refurbished Finsley Gate Wharf and along the canal towpath. The 2025 edition of Burnley Canal Festival is now confirmed for its regular date at August Bank Holiday weekend. Organisers announce that after an extensive fundraising campaign, Sunday 24 August will see the return of this free, family friendly, multiple award-winning event. Burnley’s proud, stonebuilt architecture is worth celebrating, and a new exhibition starting this week in the town centre does just that. Kicking off three weeks of concentrated activity, Rock Paper Scissors opens on Thursday 19 June at OneTwoThree, the new high street creative space at 123 St James’s Street.
