Time to Talk Day is Thursday 6th, February. It’s a day dedicated to encouraging open and honest conversations about our mental well-being, breaking down stigma, and promoting a more supportive and understanding society. The Rail Maintenance Training programmes will be delivered in Brierfield/Accrington and for the first time in Lancaster in a partnership between Lancashire Adult Learning and Redstone Training. The programme has been running regularly for the past 3 years and has been successful in enabling students to progress to a career in the rail engineering sector.
Limited places for face-to-face (F2F) training sessions are now available. These sessions are highly sought-after, and with only 15 seats available, we encourage you to book now to avoid disappointment.
In this one-off session you will be introduced to deaf awareness and British Sign Language (BSL) You will identify the barriers the deaf community face on a daily basis communicating in a hearing world.
This session will cover tips on how to communicate more effectively with all deaf people. It will also teach you how to introduce yourself using British Sign Language and show you how you can continue to learn BSL independently after the session. |
