Get Started programmes are a chance for young people to gain invaluable experience and a taste of what it’s like to work in the sector.
Get Into programmes are a chance for young people to gain work experience in a sector they are interested in and gain invaluable employability skills.

Get Started Electrical and Hybrid Vehicles
On Get Started in Electrical and Hybrid Vehicles young people will:

• Meet new people and learn new skills.
• Gain hands on experience with repairs and maintenance.
• Build on their confidence, teamwork, and social skills to enable personal growth.
• Get the opportunity to enrol at Blackburn College on Hybrid Electrical Automotive Training. 

Course Information
Taster Session: Wednesday 12th February 2025
Programme: Monday 17th to Friday 21st Feb 2025 (inclusive)


Venue: Blackburn College


Get Started participants need to be aged 16-25 and not in education, training, or employment.

Get into Engineering and Business Services
On Get into Engineering and Business Services young people will:

• Take part in an onsite work experience placement with BAE Systems.
• Develop new skills, improve their CV and boost their interview technique.
• Learn about job opportunities and apprenticeships with BAE Systems.
• Receive 6 months support from the King’s Trust.

Course Information
Taster Session:  Wednesday 12th February 2025
Programme: 24th February – 14th March 2025 (inclusive)
 
Venue: Samlesbury
 
Get Into participants need to be aged 18 – 30 and not in education, employment or training.
Young people need photographic ID to take part in this programme as it is needed for security clearance to access the site.
