The Rail Maintenance Training programmes will be delivered in Brierfield/Accrington and for the first time in Lancaster in a partnership between Lancashire Adult Learning and Redstone Training. The programme has been running regularly for the past 3 years and has been successful in enabling students to progress to a career in the rail engineering sector. The programme will support students to be 'track ready' once they have completed the necessary training. This is a fantastic opportunity linked to work opportunities and is funded for 19+ learners who are unemployed and currently looking for work or are working and on a low-income of less than £25,000 per year. Information and Enrolment sessions will be held before the training so that students can find out more about the programme and opportunities available. The training will consist of an initial six-week full time programme starting at the dates and locations below. Following this, there will be a further two-weeks full time PTS (Personal Track Safety) and Track Induction training. Therefore, potential applicants who are currently working or have family responsibilities must consider the time commitments required. Brierfield/Accrington programme
