A Heartfelt Thank You in Paint: Steve Lock's Gift to BPRCVS, The Hub, and Gannow Community Centre3/9/2024
At BPRCVS, we are constantly inspired by the resilience and creativity of the people we support. One such inspiring individual is Steve Lock, a resident of Healthier Heroes outreach. Steve recently presented us, along with The Hub and GCC, with a remarkable painting he created as a heartfelt thank you for the help and support we've provided throughout his recovery journey. On the 3rd July, Christine, Carol, and Michelle had the pleasure of delivering a donation to the residents of Healthier Heroes CIC. These amazing individuals recently assisted us at BPRCVS in transforming one of our rooms on Yorkshire Street, preparing it for our new residents, Smile.

The BPRCVS Family Fun Day held at the BPRCVS Volunteering Hub was an incredible success! At BPRCVS, we're proud to join in the celebration and shine a light on the invaluable work of our Social Prescribers (SPs) who play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our community members. Meet Allison, a vibrant 27-year-old who found herself at a crossroads. Referred into the Social Prescribing Service by her GP, she was grappling with a myriad of challenges: social isolation, depression/anxiety, mental health issues, and financial struggles. As her dedicated Social Prescribing Link Worker, I had the privilege of accompanying Allison on her journey to reclaiming her life. |
