East Lancashire Community Action Project Ltd, a registered charity based in Nelson, has won significant funding to deliver a project, which will aim to tackle the importance of electrical safety through the use of a community radio service.

Louise Taylor, Director of Health and Social Care Integration has announced that she will be retiring in December. Following her retirement on December 18th, Professor Sakthi Karunanithi, Director of Public Health for Lancashire County Council will take on the role of Director of Health and Care Integration. The handover process has commenced to ensure a smooth transition. Progress and Updates on Key Workstreams The Lancashire Place Partnership has made significant strides across its three priority workstreams: • Enhanced Care in the Community (ECC), • Integrated Working (IW), and • Creating Healthy Communities (CHyC). Notable achievements include the successful reduction of hospital stays without medical need and the implementation of new working models in various areas. We Are Survivors has been supporting male victims / survivors for over fifteen years, and in that me we have learned so much on how to meet the needs of male survivors, and their loved ones. As the UK goes to polls on 4th July 2024, we are asking all political parties to ensure that positively tackling the impact of sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation; along with leading a joint effort to prevent harms from occurring in the first place, are a key priority of Government. International research suggests that 1 in 6 males will be affected by sexual violence in their lifeline; 1 in 4 victims of child sexual abuse are boys; and over 1 in 10 victims of rape are male.
