Important Announcement: Group Format Change to WhatsApp Community
We are now ready to start the transition of this group into a WhatsApp Community format.
Why the Change?
Moving to a Community format offers several benefits:
Better organisation: meaning can create topic-specific sub-groups (e.g. events, funding, training) under one umbrella.
Improved communication: Announcements can be shared more clearly without getting lost in general discussion.
Greater reach: It allows for more structured collaboration across different organisations and groups.
Enhanced privacy: Members’ phone numbers are hidden in announcement channels, offering more control over visibility.

What You Need to Do
If you would like to continue being part of this space and transition into the new Community format, please do the following within the next 14 days:

1. Read the updated Group Principles and Statement of Purpose (attached to this message).
2. If you agree with the principles and wish to remain involved, please reply in the group with:
   - Your Full Name
   - Your Job Title
   - Your Organisation Name

This information will help us ensure that all members meet the eligibility criteria and are transitioned smoothly into the new format.

About the Group
This space is designed to:
- Share updates on Pendle’s Community Health and Wellbeing Projects and Services
- Connect people from the community, voluntary, faith, statutory, and charity sectors
- Promote respectful, inclusive, and professional communication

Please take a moment to review the attached guidance. If you have any questions, feel free to message one of the admins directly.
The transition will take place at 10am on the 21st July. There will be reminders that will be sent out via this page to prompt regularly before this date and time.

Thank you for being part of this growing and supportive network. We look forward to continuing our shared work in improving health outcomes for Pendle!
