This meeting brings together partners from across Burnley to share important updates, connect on local priorities, and discuss ongoing work supporting communities across the town.

We are delighted to invite organisations to join the University's new Volunteering and Employability Platform. Designed to create stronger connections between volunteering, student development, and graduate employment, the platform brings together opportunities and services in one place.
By registering, your organisation will be able to create a single profile that can be used to promote volunteering opportunities as well as paid roles, helping you reach a wider pool of talented and motivated students and graduates. The platform offers a streamlined and efficient way to engage with the University and showcase the opportunities available within your organisation.

​Burnley Borough Council is currently consulting on proposals to redesignate selective licensing in the following two areas after the current designations end in July 2027:

• Burnley Wood with Healey Wood
• Leyland Road area 

The council is also consulting on proposals to introduce new selective licensing areas in parts of:

• The Lyndhurst Road Area

The consultation will run from 3rd August 2026 to 18th October 2026, and we are inviting responses from all affected parties and those with an interest in the proposed schemes.

​Offshoots is a one acre community garden tucked away in the historic walled garden of Towneley Hall in Towneley Park, Burnley.As well as being a hub for volunteering and community sessions, we are an educational site with a focus on environmental sustainability and how we can change the ways we live for the benefit of ourselves, our families and our communities.
