Got a great idea to benefit your local community in Bradley? We want to hear from you!

💡 What Is the Bradley Big Local Community Fund?

Funded by the Big Lottery, Bradley Big Local is a resident-led programme with one mission:
To make Bradley a happier, healthier place to live.
Since the beginning of the initiative, residents have steered the direction of the programme. They’ve told us what’s important — from wellbeing activities to community safety and skills-building — and now it’s your chance to turn those ideas into action.

💷 How Much Can You Apply For?

Groups can apply for grants from £100 to £3,000, with funding available for projects that benefit people in Bradley.
But don’t wait too long — all projects must be completed by 30th September 2025 (some flexibility may be possible — contact us if needed).

🌟 What Kind of Projects Are We Looking For?

We want to fund projects that help bring people together, build resilience, and create a legacy for Bradley. This could include:
  • Health and wellbeing programmes
  • Activities for children, young people, families, and older adults
  • Community cohesion events and celebrations
  • Training and skill development
  • Support for vulnerable residents
Projects should help residents try something new, feel more connected, and be part of a stronger local community.

✅ Who Can Apply?
You must be a group or organisation delivering activities in Bradley. This includes:
  • Community groups, charities, CICs, resident associations
  • Schools, churches, nurseries (for non-religious activities)
  • New groups (with support from an umbrella organisation if needed)
You’ll need a constitution or agreed terms of reference, a bank account with two unrelated signatories, and relevant safeguarding policies if working with children or vulnerable adults.

🚫 What We Don’t Fund:
  • Political or religious activity
  • Retrospective funding
  • Individuals (unless funds are held by a group on your behalf)
  • Groups with large financial reserves

🗓 Key Dates
  • Application Deadline: 12 noon, Wednesday 11th June 2025
  • Decision Notification: Wednesday 25th June 2025
  • Payments Made By: Wednesday 9th July 2025

📄 How to Apply
  1. Download and read the Application Form and Guidance Notes (available via BPRCVS).
  2. Complete all sections carefully — the more relevant info, the better!
  3. Include your group’s constitution, safeguarding policy, budget, and any quotes or supporting documents.
  4. Submit your completed application by post or email:
    • Post: Bradley Big Local, c/o BPRCVS, 62/64 Yorkshire Street, Burnley, BB11 3BT
    • Email: [email protected]
Important: We’re happy to accept your form by email, but we’ll need a version with actual signatures too, or we can’t process your application.
