This is our recording from the February 2026 People of Pendle meeting. Each month, we bring together local voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise groups to share updates, discuss initiatives, and celebrate the amazing work happening across Pendle. Carry on reading to access the notes from this meeting.
Following a review of the use of the fund, PBC and CVS have made the decision to reduce the evidence criteria for the crisis fund from 3 months bank statements to just 1 month bank statements.
We recognise the fund is for a short-term crisis intervention, which is impacting a household now, hence why the approval and issuing of the funds is quick and effective in delivery. We also recognise how difficult it can be to access 3 months bank statements due to limited number of front facing banks now open on the high street. Please utilise this fund as you have already been doing so. Please ensure you use the link below as this is the newest link, and reflects the number of organisations that can now refer into the fund, including 'health professionals' Your new food waste recycling collection service

The organisers are also keen to involve a small group of young people; hence, the date is during half-term. Are you, or anyone you know, linked to any youth participation groups (14-15 year olds) who would like to be involved? Please could you contact me [email protected]. The Lancashire Children's Safeguarding Assurance Partnership (CSAP) partners aim to collaborate with Participation People as part of the RIPP Safeguarding Voices Year 2 Enhanced Offer to co-develop a Participation & Voice Strategy. This will ensure that children, young people, and practitioners across Lancashire share a common approach to integrating their voices in safeguarding practice, decision-making, and policy development. Pol-Ed is an interactive, police-led education programme designed to support young people to make informed, positive choices and to better understand the consequences of certain behaviours. It's an online teaching resource with different lesson plans aimed at different age groups. The programme covers a range of topics including knife crime, exploitation, online safety, vaping/smoking and much more, and each topic has an overview for the 'teacher' with notes and guidance as to how best to work through the online content with their group of young people.
