Fibre Engineering
Start: 30th September-11th October (10 days - Monday-Friday) Time: 9am-4pm FREE for anyone unemployed, or earning below £31,000 per year, must be aged 19 years old and over & living in the UK for a minimum of 3 years. Please see information below: This Fibre Engineering course is designed to provide individuals with essential skills and qualifications for a successful career in the telecoms and utilities sector. To be eligible, applicants must be aged 19 or over, have lived in the UK for at least three years, and either be unemployed or earning below £31,000 per year. The course covers key certifications, including SA001 Overhead Safety, SA002 Underground Safety, SA006 Safe Working in Civils, NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding, IPAF 1B Static Boom, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Confined Space training. A key part of the course is obtaining the EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) Card, which verifies your qualifications and allows you to work as a utility worker in the fibre, energy, and water sectors. This card is essential for demonstrating compliance with industry standards. Upon completing the course, career opportunities include roles such as Fibre Engineer, Telecoms Technician, Network Installer, and Utility Worker.
