LACVS Volunteering for Health project are producing a Vision for Volunteering and we are now consulting on the insights we have gathered in during 2025/6. We are asking the VCFSE sector and beyond for their feedback on the infographics, answering the following 3 questions during April and May:
This is your opportunity to have your say in a document which we hope will help us strengthen the VCFSE sector and our communities moving forwards. If you would like to have a face to face or TEAMS meeting to discuss this further we would be delighted to hear form you, or we would be just as delighted for a few sentences of feedback (even if it is just, its great as it is). We will be launching the Vision during Volunteers Week, look out for more information on this during May. the mapping of faith locations in Pendle - Six spreadsheets, corresponding to church / mosque based provision for a) family support; b) food security; c) mental health.
BPRCVS and Pendle Borough Council have had a beneficial and fruitful partnership over
many years. The Service Level Agreements that have been in place have dictated the work CVS delivers in Pendle. CVS projects, connections and partnerships enable us to bring huge added value to enhance the funding from Pendle Borough Council and exceed expected delivery.
This is our recording from the February 2026 People of Pendle meeting. Each month, we bring together local voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise groups to share updates, discuss initiatives, and celebrate the amazing work happening across Pendle. Carry on reading to access the notes from this meeting.
Following a review of the use of the fund, PBC and CVS have made the decision to reduce the evidence criteria for the crisis fund from 3 months bank statements to just 1 month bank statements.
We recognise the fund is for a short-term crisis intervention, which is impacting a household now, hence why the approval and issuing of the funds is quick and effective in delivery. We also recognise how difficult it can be to access 3 months bank statements due to limited number of front facing banks now open on the high street. Please utilise this fund as you have already been doing so. Please ensure you use the link below as this is the newest link, and reflects the number of organisations that can now refer into the fund, including 'health professionals' |
