Trusted mental health help at your fingertips

29/7/2026

Have you thought about using an app to support your mental health? Apps are a great way to get timely, accessible support day to day, or while you’re waiting on a list to be seen in person.

But finding trusted, verified digital tools can be overwhelming, so we’ve done the search for you. Find out more below…
Discover Mind's app library
Our app library is where you can find safe, trusted and quality-checked tools to support your wellbeing, picked by us.

Everything has been verified by Mind and ORCHA, who are experts in reviewing health apps.

Mental health apps for young people

Apps can be a great mental health resource for young people particularly – check out our special collection of apps for young people.

Here are some of our app recommendations of the month ...

Kooth - a non-judgmental space offering peer support and self‑help tools
Sorted - short audio guides on relaxation to ease anxiety and manage low mood
distrACT - doctor-developed, for coping with self-harm and suicidal thoughts
Unlock donations for Mind on Strava

Sign up to Strava’s free app and take part in a series of active challenges across August, as part of the Crowns for Causes campaign.

You’ll unlock donations for Mind, at no cost to you, raising money for mental health without the admin and getting active at the same time.

Challenges include walking, running, stretching and more – so there’s a little something for every level of fitness and ability.

Thanks to our friends at the Postcode Lottery and Strava for making this possible.

Mental health behind the lens

Alongside our new friends, the photography retailers MPB, we’re zooming in on how photography can support better wellbeing.

Photography can help us slow down, notice small things and connect to the world, inspiring moments of mindfulness and belonging.

MPB will donate £1 to Mind for every item of photo and video kit bought and sold in the UK throughout August. So if you’ve got a hankering to get behind the camera, now might be the time to try, when you can support mental health alongside an exciting new hobby.

We’ve joined other charities to challenge the ‘biggest rollback of disability rights in a generation’

Mind recently intervened in a legal case that saw the freedom of people with mental health problems in care homes, supported living and locked units under threat.

The change proposed to the law would mean perceived ‘compliance’ could be treated as consent, and people would lose access to some of the safeguards historically in place to protect them.

Find out more about the case, and our joint statement of defiance alongside charities, Mencap and the National Autistic Society.
