Charity Skydive: Abeera's Leap of Faith - Updates
For the sake of giving back to our amazing partner, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT), who will be employing The King's Trust's 250th young person this year, Abeera has been fundraising over the last month for a sponsored skydive, with a target of £1,000.

Abeera started doing fundraising stalls at Blackburn Hospital, with one simple thought in mind: “Every penny and every pound counts.”

Abeera is incredibly happy to say that she surpassed her target and raised £1,004 - with 50% of the money coming from people donating just £1, £2 or £5.

Here is a quote from the skydiver herself, - "The main thing I took away from this experience was the importance of human connection and relationship building, something I genuinely believe AI cannot take away from us. I wasn’t seeing the results behind a screen. Stepping out and connecting with people changed everything. £1,004 raised. Target smashed. Skydive completed (which was insane btw)."

Abeera would like to say a huge thank you to each and every person who supported her in any way.

A huge congratulations to the young people who have just completed the Get into Marks & Spencer programme.

They have worked extremely hard on their journeys within the retail industry. The Mayor of Preston was in attendance to help celebrate all of their achievements.

After completing the programme some brilliant news to share that several young people have been offered onward progression of 12-week contracts. Not just any job an M&S job!
