The NHS in Lancashire and South Cumbria has launched a public consultation on the future of vascular services for patients living in Lancashire, South Cumbria and Wigan. We are running an eight-week consultation, and as our community connectors, we would be grateful if you could help us to spread the word amongst your networks. This consultation is focused on a proposal to create one vascular network across our sites, hosted by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, with all planned and emergency inpatient vascular surgery taking place at Royal Preston Hospital, instead of being at Royal Blackburn Hospital too. People living in East Lancashire would therefore need to travel further to receive inpatient vascular care.
We have a full consultation booklet, alongside a summary booklet on our vascular webpage for members of the public to read through to understand the current services, what we are proposing and why. Feedback can then be given through a survey, or at one of our drop-in events in East Lancashire. A list of dates, times and locations will soon be available on our website. All of this information, along with accessible versions of the information, can be found on our webpage: LSC Integrated Care Board: Vascular transformation Comments are closed.
