LANDS Assembly Wednesday 18th November

5/11/2026

Picture
Join LANDS (Lancashire Network for Developing Sustainability) for a day of ideas, conversation and collaboration.
We will explore the role of creativity and the arts sector in responding to the climate crisis; what we can do and how we can do it.
Bringing together artists, cultural organisations, researchers and communities, the LANDS Assembly will be a space to connect, share practice and imagine sustainable futures together.
This event is for you if you want to explore how to bring climate action ideas into your work with participants and communities in engaging ways as part of creative projects and events.
You could be a freelance arts practitioner, or someone who works for an arts organisation as a practitioner or manager, or an artist or musician who wants to develop their skills and practice informed by climate action.

LANDS Assembly
Wednesday 18 November
9.30am-4pm

LICA, Lancaster University
Tickets £10

We’re a member of LANDS and we’re looking forward to being a part of this event.
What we're doing on the day
On the day, we're providing the Talkaoke after the morning screening and conversation, as a way for people to both reflect, and to consider how they as organisations and as individuals might take action. In-Situ staff members will also be around to discuss Climate Lab Pendle, a programme which challenges 'business as usual' and explores alternative approaches to addressing climate issues at a community level, promoting knowledge, discernment, listening, respect and collective action.

About Talkaoke
Talkaoke, from The People Speak, is an illuminated donut-shaped table with a (trained) host sitting in the middle on a swivel chair. The host facilitates a safe space for conversation to flow. Opinions are shared and ideas emerge.
