As part of Pride in our Places, we are holding volunteering activities across four locations in Lancashire, giving people the opportunity to get involved in practical projects that support local communities and help improve green and community spaces. The day will bring together LCC staff, community groups, local businesses, councillors and LVP volunteers, all working alongside one another to make a positive difference in their local communities.
More information about the wider initiative can be found here: Pride in our Places - Lancashire County Council: https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/civic-pride/pride-in-our-places/ The project I particularly need some help promoting is: Rawtenstall Town Centre, Rossendale Volunteers will help improve the footpath between East Lancashire Railway Station and New Hall Hey Retail Park. Activities will include weeding, cutting back shrubs and brambles, litter picking and general maintenance. Volunteers will also help create a dead hedge using branches, twigs and hedge trimmings, providing a natural habitat for local wildlife. Register for Rawtenstall: https://bttr.im/oinaf Everyone taking part must register in advance, and the deadline for registration is Monday 5 October. Comments are closed.
