What we've been up to in October..

Our Participation and Engagement Team set up a stall at an information day event organised by Red Rose Recovery. We joined other local organisations, and passed out leaflets and information to visitors to the event about the support Carers Link Lancashire can provide to unpaid carers across East Lancashire, including peer support groups, carers assessments, benefits advice, activities, courses and more.
Our Volunteer Officer and a member of our volunteer team attended a careers and volunteering event at UCLAN Burnley campus last month to spread the word about the volunteering opportunities we have available across our charity shops in Accrington, Colne, Haslingden and our new shop opening this month in Bacup, as well as our Connecting Communities Befriending opportunities. Our Volunteer Team spoke to a large number of students at the event and told them all about how we support volunteers in their role, and the application process. If your interested in volunteering with us or you know someone who might be interested, have a look at the volunteers page on our website for information about the different volunteering roles we have available at the moment and details on how to apply.
