Lowerhouse Cricket Club’s New Extension: A Space for the Whole Community

Lowerhouse Cricket Club is delighted to announce the opening of our brand new clubhouse extension, a fantastic addition to The Brooks Foundation Ground that will not only enhance the matchday experience but also provide a modern, welcoming space for local community groups, organisations and private events.
The extension, built on the footprint of the former patio area to the left of the steps, has transformed the clubhouse facilities and created a flexible space that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
With stunning views across the cricket ground, the room features full-width bi-fold doors that open up to create a unique connection between inside and outside, bringing visitors closer to the action and providing one of the best views in the borough.

Away from matchdays, the new facility will become a valuable community asset, available for local groups, charities, clubs and organisations looking for a venue to meet, host events, deliver activities or bring people together.

The modern, comfortable space offers a relaxed environment with new furniture, television facilities and a layout suitable for a wide range of uses. Whether it’s a community meeting, social gathering, presentation, workshop or celebration, Lowerhouse can provide a welcoming venue with excellent facilities.

As a club built at the heart of the community, we are proud to open our doors and make this space available beyond cricket. We want the extension to become a place where people can meet, connect and create memories all year round.

In the evening, the room also becomes part of our wider function offering, providing a unique venue for private events with a combination of modern facilities, atmosphere and views that are difficult to match.
