This month we celebrated our Volunteers at our annual Volunteers Christmas party. This year we held the event in the beautiful surroundings at Haworth Art Gallery. Volunteers enjoyed a three course meal, entertainment and a chance to meet other volunteers from across the charity. Thanks to our volunteers for all you do! Accrington Community Hub was full of festive cheer during our Dementia Café Christmas party. We enjoyed a lovely buffet prepared by our café team, and were entertained by the fantastic Inspire Choir, who sang plenty of classic festive tunes. At one point the whole café and shop visitors were singing along to Christmas tunes!
Our Participation & Engagement Team organised a fantastic wreath making workshop in Townley for carers to attend. Attendees where shown how to make festive wreaths, which could also be used as a table decoration. It was great to see all of the creativity on display. Crafting is a fantastic way to take a bit of time for yourself, and can help boost your wellbeing. We organise different crafty sessions throughout the year, so have a look on our website, or on social media to keep up to date and book a spot. The Christmas Party for carers was held at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe this year, and what a fantastic afternoon. Attendees enjoyed a thoroughly festive time with party hats, a three course Christmas dinner and entertainment, and the event was finished off with dancing. We received lovely feedback about the event, and also Carers Link staff member Matt, who drove the minibus for the first time to transport carers to Clitheroe. Have a look at the video below which contains a compilation of some of the photographs taken on the day. Looks like a fun time was had by all! Comments are closed.
