Invitation to join the Lancashire Service Finder directory

21/5/2026

Picture
Lancashire County Council has created an online directory: the Lancashire Service Finder. This is to help residents and professionals across the county easily find and access services to support their needs.
Ahead of its public launch this summer, the Lancashire Service Finder needs to be populated with as many listings [HA1]  as possible.
If your service has not already registered on the Lancashire Service Finder, we encourage you to do so. It is free to register and will make the directory as helpful as possible to those who access it.
Add your service(s)
How to add your listing
  • If you own or run multiple services or have multiple branches, register each one separately on the Lancashire Service Finder. If they share the same name, we advise adding the location to the title and/or description. Example: Mobility 4 All – Blackpool, Mobility 4 All – Preston.
  • Use the service’s own name not the overarching business name or the owner’s name in the ‘Name of Listing’ field. Example: Sunny Days Rest Home, not BrightCare Group. If your organisation wishes to show ownership, this can be included in the 'Description’ or ‘Other comments/information’ section.
  • At the bottom of the form, you will be asked to select relevant categories and filters for your service. Make sure this section is completed thoroughly before submitting the form. It will help your listing display correctly and make it easier for people to find your service. You may need to click the small arrow to expand the boxes.
  • The description of your service can be 250 words long and is a chance for you to tell users of the directory about your service and what it offers.
The more comprehensive your listing is the more likely it is to appear in search results and help people understand if your service/group meets their needs. You can also view an example listing to see the level of detail we expect.
