Welcome to the Get Grants May 2026 Newsletter! 


It's a busy month here at Get Grants, with lots of Training, MASTERCLASSES and FREE Events all designed to help you stay connected, grow your skills and strengthen your fundraising efforts!


This month, we are excited to announce that we have set a date for the Get Grants FREE Virtual Conference 2026! Join us on 6th & 7th October for 2 days full of celebration, inspiration, and practical advice and support.


Our In-Person Bid Writing Training Course returns to London. Join John Ellery for practical support to boost your bid writing confidence.


On 11th May at 10am - 11am, Andy King leads Building Corporate Partnerships MASTERCLASS, exploring how to create successful partnerships for your charity. You can also now watch Mike Zywina's Accessing Invite-Only Funders MASTERCLASS On Demand via our website!


We’ve also got a great range of FREE Events this month, including a Meet the Funder Event: The Portal Trust, an Introduction to Trusts & Foundations Workshop and our Virtual Fundraisers Networking Event!

Henry Smith Charity - Holiday Grants For Children 


The Henry Smith Foundation – Holiday Grants for Children helps children who experience inequity and/or have disabilities to go on fun trips. It funds schools, youth groups, and non-profit organisations planning one-time trips for children aged 13 and under, prioritising fun and new experiences, such as camping, adventure activities, or visits to the seaside.


The Henry Smith Foundation – Holiday Grants for Children offers grants between £500-£3,000 and they are able to fund day-trips as well as residential trips up to 7 days.

Help The Homeless


Help The Homeless provides grants to registered charities to help homeless people off the streets and enable them to live healthy, independent lives. They favour small, grassroots charities working to help the most vulnerable people in their communities.


Help the Homeless only offer grants to organisations with a turnover of less than £500,000 and grants will generally be £5,000 and below.


Applications are only accepted towards capital projects such as equipment, furniture, or building costs (but not including IT equipment). 


The fund has quarterly grant deadlines on the 20th of March, June, September and December each year.

Stef & Phillips Foundation

The Stef & Philips Foundation’s grant funding improves the lives and well-being of individuals and families living in temporary and emergency accommodation. They provide support through personal and project grant funding. 


Grants support individuals and families living in temporary and emergency accommodation in London, including single-parent households and care leavers living independently for the first time.


Grants for organisations supporting those residing in temporary or emergency accommodation are available for up to £2,000. This grant programme has 3 deadlines a year.
