Happy New Year! It's time to welcome in the New Year. Over the last 12 months, our team at Healthwatch Lancashire has been working non-stop! From projects to events, navigating uncertainty and championing your voice, we are so grateful for all of the support and kindness shown to us in 2025. A Message from Our Manager, Steve Walmsley. As we enter the New Year, I just wanted to say thank you for all your support over the last year. It has been a very busy year with many great pieces of work at Healthwatch Lancashire, including women's health, disability voices and the Deaf Community Task and finish group to name but a few examples. Whether you have dropped us an email, attended a focus group, met us at engagement events, supported online meetings, taken part in a survey or just generally supported our team, I am incredibly grateful and I have loved every minute of it. I really appreciate all the support and help that you give my team and me. This support means a great deal and allows us to really showcase the experiences of so many people and ensure their voices are heard and their thoughts and feelings are actioned. May 2026 bring you peace and good health. Our New Website Our website has moved! We want to share that our website has now moved to become a part of the We Are People First website. We have worked closely with People First for over 7 years now, and have taken this opportunity to revisit our current website and hopefully make this easier for our community to use. You can still find all of our reports, project information and news updates - just in a different space📣 Check It Out The Impact of Social Media on Young People Kicking off the new year with a HUGE project! From January until the end of March, Healthwatch Lancashire will be investigating the impact of social media on young people when it comes to making decisions about their health. We want to understand young people's perception of their health and how this can be affected by social media content. Additionally, we hope to hear from parents and if they have any concerns about their children using social media for advice/information on their health. Take Part in Our Survey 2025 Projects
This year we have worked on various research projects off the back of feedback provided by our community. We've explored topics like Women's Health, Ageing Well Without Family and Disability, Transport and Accessibility. During these projects, we spoke to over people about their experiences using health and social care services across Lancashire. Missed one of our reports?
