What we've been up to in November...
Our Participation and Engagement Team organised a fantastic trip to HAPPA in Burnley. During the daytrip the group met rescued horses, and ponies, learnt all about the organisation from staff members and also watched a riding display.

We received this lovely feedback from Val, who attended on the day:

"I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to HAPPA in Briercliffe to see the horses, ponies and foals and to learn about the amazing work they do in rescuing the animals. Jennifer was great and we were treated to a little display in the arena. The closeness and bonding to the horses by the staff and volunteers was touching and clear to see. It is a place I want to go back to. Thank you to Angela and Ammara who took us."

Lancashire Adult Learning organised a fantastic pamper day for carers at Nelson and Colne College. Students from the hair and beauty training course ensured our carers enjoyed a relaxing time and came away refreshed with a new hairstyle. We received the following lovely feedback from one attendee:

"I just want to say thank you for my relaxing pamper afternoon at Nelson and Colne College. I really enjoyed my wash and blow dry, it was a lovely treat".

Our Colne shop turned 2! We celebrated with customers, staff and volunteers enjoying a slice of birthday cake and refreshments. Customers who attended on the day sang the praises of Colne Shop Manager, Sian, saying that she has "always made them feel welcome when they visit the shop".
Thanks to everyone who came along to help us celebrate!
