 In 2024, we saw communities across the country stepping up to take meaningful action for people, climate and nature, uniting to build a greener, fairer future. While the start of a new year can often feel daunting, we know that by coming together, we can be a powerful catalyst for change. This year, we’ll be sharing more opportunities to take action together. To help get things started, I thought I would share some funding opportunities, new resources, and things you can do to take action for people, climate and nature this January. It can sometimes be difficult to find funding to support local initiatives, projects and campaigns. Throughout the year, I’ll be sharing funding opportunities that may be useful for you and your community, so do keep an eye out! Here are a couple of current funding opportunities with deadlines in February 2025:  Grow Wild Community Programme 2025 Deadline: 3pm, Thursday 13 February 2025 Grow Wild’s Community Programme supports groups to transform urban spaces for the benefit of people and wildlife by planting and championing UK native plants, and are seeking 20 community groups from across the UK to join the programme in 2025. Better Community Business Network Grant Initiative Deadline: 16 February 2025 Launched in September 2014, BCBN’s Grant Initiative aims to provide small third-sector grant awards to empower charities and local community projects. This initiative will distribute a one-off grant award of up to £3,000 per charity or to small but credible community projects, which are able to demonstrate their positive impact on the communities they aim to serve.
