County of Song CIC director call out

After a successful initial project start phase under the wing of Arts Lancashire, Lancashire: County of Song is ready for the next stage of its development. We are planning to become an independent Community Interest Company (CIC), continuing to work in partnership with organisations across the county.

To make this happen, we are looking for directors for the new CIC board. Initially, we are looking for a small group, to act quickly getting the new phase of County of Song up and running for 2026 / 27. Director posts are volunteer posts, so we shall try not to ask too much of your time. The key responsibilities are -

• ensuring County of Song CIC complies with charity and company law
• ensuring County of Song pursues its aims
• providing oversight of strategy, operations and finances of County of Song
• working with the Executive Director to set overall policy and evaluating performance

This will happen through quarterly board meetings online.
