Culvert Clean Up - Town to Turf

Earlier this week, I met with Justine from the Royal Dyche to discuss a number of issues affecting the local area. As many of you know, Justine is incredibly passionate about our community, and we are keen to work together to tackle concerns such as anti-social behaviour, littering and the general upkeep of the neighbourhood.

The Council's Town to Turf project has invested significant funding into the Yorkshire Street area, and we want to build on that investment by working together to restore pride in the area, support residents and local businesses, and create a cleaner, more welcoming environment for everyone.

As a result, we have agreed to organise a community clean-up, raise awareness of local issues and work together to address them. This part of town is a shop window for the whole of Burnley every fortnight and our aim is simple – to put pride back into Bank Hall.

The clean-up will take place on Saturday 8 August, from 9:30am to 11:00am (to coincide with the first home game of the season - cup fixture).   

​It would be fantastic to see as many residents, businesses and community members involved as possible.
