Volunteering Opportunity- Lancashire Women

We’re currently recruiting for a General Hub Support Volunteer, and we’d love to connect with individuals who are passionate about supporting women and building community.
 
Here’s a brief overview of the role:
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help create a welcoming and trauma-informed space at our Burnley Centre. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, supporting others, and being part of a caring team.
 ​

Key Responsibilities include:

• Greeting and supporting visitors to the hub
• Signposting to services and making referrals
• Assisting with groups such as coffee mornings, crafts, or wellbeing sessions
• Helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive space
• Supporting basic admin tasks
• Offering a non-judgmental listening ear while maintaining confidentiality

Requirements:

• Minimum commitment of 4 hours per week for 6 months
• Completion of a 4-week induction training (1 day per week)
• Enhanced DBS check (arranged and paid for by us)
• This role is open to female candidates only (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9)
