Rossendale Rotary and several other organisations were outside Rawtenstall Market to explain what Rotary and volunteering is all about. On Saturday 1st June, at the start of Volunteer’s Week 2024, Rossendale Rotary and several other organisations were outside Rawtenstall Market to explain what Rotary and volunteering is all about, and to encourage local people to take part. We were joined by Civic Pride Rossendale, Rossendale Community First Responders, Rossendale Family Hub Network, and Rossendale Valley Energy.
A fun tombola was a major attraction, and visitors to the stand walked away with many different prizes. Civic Pride had a flower recognition quiz, and the First Responders encouraged visitors to try their hand at resuscitating a dummy called ‘Little Annie’. The other organisations explained the vital services that they offer to families in the area. All in all, it was a very successful day in glorious sunshine. If you are interested in joining Rossendale Rotary to use your time, talents, skills and energy to improve the lives of people in your local community and further afield – or if you think we may be able to help you - then please contact us by searching online for Rossendale Rotary.
