Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) Talk Money Week campaign which will occur in the second week of November. Every year MaPS encourage people to have more open conversations about their money – from pocket money to pensions – through our Talk Money Week (TMW) campaign. The week provides a great opportunity for everyone to join, start or lead conversations about money.
This year, the Talk Money Week campaign will be held between 6-10 November 2023 and we’re replacing the theme with a simple call to action: do one thing. It doesn’t have to be huge. It could be as simple as tracking down a lost pension, talking to a child about pocket money or using one of the free tools or calculators on the MoneyHelper website. All that matters is that we get people talking about money, so we can end the taboo together. Organisations can deliver a Talk Money Week 'Do One Thing' message in all manner of ways: share it on your social media, host an online event, write a blog, etc. Our comms toolkit, accessible via the Talk Money Week page, contains resources including copy and graphics, to make this even easier. Who should get involved? We’re asking stakeholders, partners, organisations and businesses all over the UK to encourage their own audiences to do one thing that could help improve their financial wellbeing – and to make a noise about it, to inspire others to do the same.
