What more can be done?
Over £16.8 billion of contracts and grants in the UK charity sector come from government and the public sector. However, these contracts are not ‘uplifted’ each year to reflect the rising costs of delivering these vital services.
Ahead of the Chancellor’s autumn statement, we’re calling on the government to ensure that contracts and grants for charities delivering services are uplifted – or people might not be able to access the vital services they need this winter, and beyond.
Follow our Cost of Giving Crisis campaign
We’ll be sharing real stories, the results of our survey and more on our social channels throughout this winter. Please do follow and share #CostOfGivingCrisis to help us make sure our sector gets the urgent help it needs.
As always, if your organisation needs support this winter, do get in touch. NCVO is on hand to help make sure charities can keep delivering for the communities and people they serve.
