Lancashire County Council (LCC) has been awarded funding from the government’s Levelling Up Fund (LUF) to invest across East Lancashire. It can be used to make streets safer, greener, and healthier, to improve access to public transport, and to develop new routes for walking, cycling and wheeling. Essentially, it will involve developing ideas to re-imagine our streets and public spaces and create better places for everyone. We would like to invite you, or a representative from your organisation to attend an invitation only workshop to help us discover the current issues/challenges and opportunities in the Hall Carr, Rawtenstall area of Rossendale. This will be the first time we will engage with you on this and will lead to a second session in the new year where we explore the type of improvements that you think are appropriate.
Date: 29 November 23 Time: 13:00 – 15:00 Venue: The Halliwell Scout Headquarters, Cherry Crescent, Rawtenstall, Rossendale BB4 6DL We want to hear from you. We have contacted you today as you have been identified as an organisation and/or community champion with a potential interest in the LUF project.
