About the Day “I am really excited about the event for various reasons but mainly because we aim to bring together traditional everyday tools, (some dating back over 100,000 years), and new technology such as VR, to enhance and develop subjective and objective perspectives and understanding of family life and widening social inequalities. The exhibition will provide an opportunity to highlight the ‘Systems Thinking Dynamics’ that have led to the development of our multi-disciplinary approach - ‘The Alchemy of Family Support’, and some new initiatives we will be taking forward in 2025. We trust the exhibition will increase awareness amongst policy makers, leaders, and support professionals, and our displays of lived experience combined with elements from the natural sciences and academic disciplines such as social neuroscience, psychology, anthropology, neurology, and Early Childhood Development, will encourage effective, sustainable solutions that will increase the resilience and independence of disadvantaged families. Only then can we begin to bridge the widening gap of social, health, and economic inequalities”. Looking forward to seeing you there! Donna Hussain – CEO Home-Start Central Lancashire September 2024
