We're unveiling exciting plans to make Nelson safer for cyclists, pedestrians and drivers


We want to improve routes into and through Nelson, creating a more attractive and better experience for all.


Our proposals will help to improve traffic flow, create a quality environment including at key gateway routes and introduce better walking and cycling opportunities.

Accessible Nelson is one of seven projects part-funded by the £25m Nelson Town Deal - a 10 year plan for a brighter Nelson.


Improvements may also be delivered as part of Lancashire County Council's Levelling Up East Lancashire programme and proposals are underway.
