Grassroots Grants

In partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery, Groundwork is offering 700 Grassroots Grants of up to £2,000 to organisations across England, making a positive difference to their communities.

The funding provided is unrestricted and flexible, and can be used to cover core organisational costs, support your vital services, or meet your community’s needs through events, activities, and programmes.

Organisations whose income is up to £25,000 in the last financial year are eligible to apply.

Kelly Family Charitable Trust

The Kelly Family Charitable Trust makes grants to local or regional UK registered charities with initiatives that support and encourage the families to work together to face adverse situations.

The Trust generally makes grants of up to £5,000 but higher amounts may occasionally be considered by the Trustees. The trust prefers to support charities with an income of under £500,000, and they actively encourage applications from relatively new organisations to help them become established. Larger charities with pilot projects that meet the Trust’s objectives will also be considered.

Grants from the Kelly Family Charitable Trust may be used for both capital and revenue costs. The trust is happy to support requests for both core funding and project-based costs.

The Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation

The Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation offers grants to charitable organisations in five categories.

The foundation aims to support activity that creates a significant impact on individuals and/or communities, and leaves a lasting legacy. Their principal areas of interest are music, performing arts, and Jewish / interfaith relations in a broad context and specific detail is given for the type of project/beneficiaries they are looking to support in each category.

The Foundation gives out nearly £500,000 in grants annually, with grants generally in the region of £1,000 to £10,000, with only a very small number of grants given over £10,000.
